Frequently asked questions

Clear answers about evidence quality, SIF research, and how to use the site without treating it as advice.

SIF basics

What is elitefunds focused on?

elitefunds is focused on Specialized Investment Funds first. Mutual funds are available as a secondary research section, but the main product experience is built around SIF discovery, evidence status, strategy comparison, and investor education.

Is elitefunds an investment advisor?

No. elitefunds is an informational research and discovery platform. It does not provide investment, tax, legal, or portfolio advice.

Why does the site show review status?

SIFs can be complex, so each profile uses one public status: Evidence sufficient for review, Needs verification, or Early coverage. The status helps users judge how much evidence is available; it is not a suitability or return signal.

Why do some profiles need verification?

A profile can be useful while still missing exact NAV, factsheet, portfolio, or risk-document evidence. elitefunds keeps those gaps visible instead of hiding them behind a polished page.

Data and documents

Are NAV values live?

No. They are not intraday market prices. elitefunds refreshes official end-of-day SIF NAVs from AMFI on a scheduled basis. Each value remains tied to its scheme, plan, option, date, and source, while freshness labels distinguish current daily NAV from dated factsheet or unavailable evidence.

What does factsheet NAV mean?

Factsheet NAV means the value comes from a dated factsheet rather than a live daily NAV feed. Treat it as a labelled snapshot, not a current daily value.

What documents should users check?

Users should review the AMC product page, ISID or offer document, factsheet, NAV source, portfolio disclosure, and dated Risk-band or suitability note where available.

Does evidence sufficient for review mean suitable?

No. Evidence sufficient for review means the profile has enough source evidence for meaningful research. It does not mean the SIF is suitable, low risk, or expected to perform better.

Can a launched SIF show NAV as unavailable?

Yes. A newly launched strategy or a newly published AMFI row may remain unavailable while its exact scheme, plan, and option identity is reviewed. The profile can remain visible, but the NAV is not shown as current until that official row is matched.

Using the site

How should I compare SIFs?

Start with strategy role, category, AMC, liquidity, risk, and review status. NAV level alone should not be used to rank SIFs.

Why are mutual funds separate?

Mutual funds can provide useful context, but SIFs require a different research path. Keeping them separate prevents the site from drifting away from its SIF-first purpose.

Can I rely on elitefunds before investing?

Use elitefunds as a research starting point only. Always verify current official documents and consult qualified advisors before taking investment action.

What is the best first path for a new visitor?

Start with the SIF readiness page, then open the learning hub and directory, inspect evidence gaps, and only then compare strategy fit across profiles.

How should I report a source correction?

Use the contact page and include the SIF name, official source URL, date of the disclosure, and what needs correction. Source corrections are reviewed before being promoted into public pages.
